I bought an Emotiv Insight EEG headset off eBay that was incomplete, but I could possibly use for spares if I purchase a new one.  In order to test if any of the parts were functional I needed to charge it up, but one of the missing items is the custom (aren't they always) USB power cable.  Going on the Emotiv website they were a reasonable $19.99 but the shipping was almost double that.  Therefore in true fixed1t fashion I sent about Making My Own Cheap Emotiv Insight EEG Headset USB Power Cable

Here is the JVC Everio Dual Lens 3D GS0TD1-17 3D Camera I Purchased

After much investigation and self debate I decided to go for the JVC Everio Dual Lens 3D GS0TD1-17  Camera.  The benefit of this over other systems is that it has two totally independent lens and sensors, so no light reduction from adapter lenses and it is full HD and has optical zoom.
