Date: 20th December 2018
Location: Gatwick Airport - UK
Threat Level: High
Action: Grounding Of All Aircraft
Unidentified Flying Objects flying over and around Gatwick Airport in the UK have brought the airport to a standstill on 20th - 21st December 2018. The Airport has announced that UFO's (possibly drones) has been flying in the airports airspace over and around Gatwick causing the airport to:
cancel all inbound flights to GatwickAirportcancel all outbound flights from Gatwick Airportground all aircraft currently at Gatwick Airportstrand thousands of people on the ground
The reports from Gatwick and from the UK government are claiming the UFO's are nothing more than over the counter drones, but does this stack up? most drones have a very limited flight time (2 - 15 minutes)most drones have a very limited range (2 - 50 metres)most drones need a person close-by to operate themmost drones are use UHF frequencies bandsthey can be easily jammedthey regularly lose their signals a…
In 2017 the UK government wrote a draft bill Titled
Drones and other Unmanned Aircraft Bill IAIANo: DfT00398
In the bill the government lays out what it perceives and the cost and benefits of UK Drone use from now and into the future(2015) It a long a repetitive document (as most bills are) but below is the summary.
To summarise in my own words, the UK Government:
sees Drones as having some benefits to the economy (e.g. more tax revenue)sees Drones:as security threats (use of drones as weapons)as threats to personal privacy by using drones to spy on othersas lookouts used in organised crime or civil disturbanceis concerned about drones being used in spyingas a risk of Injury or Death if misused
What the paper suggests is that all Drones should be registeredall Drone flights should be pre-authorised all flights should be pre-booked so they cam be monitoredall flights must be terminated if request by the Policethe flight exclusion zone around airports should be extend beyond the current 1…
I've been searching for information on the Lullaby I sing to Olli Kin which was one my mother sang to me and taught me. The original lyrics are:
Go to sleep, little brother Peter
Go to sleep, little Peterkin
Mother is within, she will bake a cake For her Peterkin, when he shall awake Go to sleep, Little brother Peter
Go to sleep, Little Peterkin
I just modified it for Olli Kin in my YouTube Video: How To Get Babies and Toddlers To Sleep With A Simple Lullaby
As we drove in the car a few days ago, he started singing it, at 22 months Olli hasn't got all the words but his timing, pace and tuning are already very good, which isn't surprising I've sung it to him thousands of times, and nearly fell asleep myself in the process. The other night I was having difficult getting off so I sang it silently to myself and fell quickly to sleep.
I wonder if they still teach this Lullaby to children as its a simple Do Re Me melody.
