Removing Superglue From Uneven Plastic Surfaces Experiments - Part 7 Using EVO-STIK Adhesive Remover

As I had a tin of EVO-STIK Adhesive Remover on the shelf I thought I'd give this very volatile liquid a try and de-bonding superglue  #fixed1tresearch

Removing Superglue Using Acetone

Hi,

I have gotten to part 6 of my experiments on using household chemicals and fluids to try and remove superglue.

I've just used Acetone and the results where pretty interesting.

The Acetone did appear to break down the integrity of the superglue, but as is the nature of Acetone it also started affect the plastic as can be seen in the video.

The interesting thing from my standpoint is that it may be effective in removing superglue from glass and other hard surface, so once I've finished this series of videos I plan to try some of the positive none busted solutions on hard and glass objects.

Testing Superglue Removal Experiment

Hi,

I'm placing the information on my Superglue removal experiment in this 'Strange But True' blog until I can create a suitable 'fixed1t Research blog'.  The experiment has come about due to the increasing number of urgent requests I am receiving from people who have spilt superglue on their phone case, tablet case to pc.

I'm testing a number of readily available chemicals and methods to see if its possible to remove superglue without specialist chemicals.

I have set up 8 test stops on the back of my Google ASUS Nexus 7 case so that it is a real item test.

The first 3 trials are listed on the is blog, each video has a link in the last 30 seconds to the next video.

If you have any Myths on what will remove superglue, then let me know I'll be happy to test them, if it isn't dangerous or illegal ;-)

Removing Superglue From Uneven Plastic Surfaces Experiments - Part 1 The Experiment

Lots of people have been asking at removing superglue from plastic or rubberised plastic cases of phones, tablets or laptops.

In truth I found a few and a lot of myths, therefore I've devised a simple experiment by deliberately spilling 8 drops of superglue on the back of a Google Nexus 7 tablet.

In the next 8 videos I will try different methods to remove the glue.

Removing Superglue From Uneven Plastic Surfaces Experiments - Part 2 Using Heat

This video is Part 2 of a 9 Part series Investigating Superglue Removal From Uneven Plastic Surfaces and has come about after many requests from subscribers to find a solution to the problem of spilling Superglue on their Android Phones, Tablets and Computers.  In this video I experiment with a heat gun, dental scrapers and plastic razor blade to de-bond and remove the Superglue from my deliberately damaged Google Nexus 7 tablet back panel, hopefully leaving the minimum of mess or damage.

Ripening Green Tomatoes In Doors. Part 2

In my last video I showed you how I ripen Green End Of Season Home Grown Tomatoes in doors.  In this video I show you the results after just 3 days of following the fixed1t How To instructions I gave in Video 1.  If you haven't seen video 1 don't worry a link will appear towards to end of the video. #fixed1tgardening
